Pavement Art II

I had no clue, but street artists who practised this type of art, have been around since the 16th century. Often, they would use white chalk, charcoal and pieces of materials they found, to create a work of art. This was mainly done in front of a church and the artist would stay around until the rain washed away his art.

The U.S. got its first street painter in 1973. The artist's name was Sidewalk Sam, who began painting in the streets of Boston. Nowadays, many more artists have taken up this form of art which is also called 3D or anamorphic.

It is quite interesting seeing what all it takes and how an anamorphic is created. Enjoy!
