Nuts and Bolts Art

I have seen several of these little sculptures before and thought that was so nifty. I was pretty amazed by the idea and craftiness with which they were made.

I suppose it is a matter of seeing the potential for a work of art in the materials. Nuts, bolts, nails, even spark plugs lend themselves excellent for creating all kinds of figurines.

Surprisingly there do not seem to be many people who practise this craft, since I could not find very much on this subject. Still, it is an art to be able to clean out your toolkit and create a one of a kind piece out of some hardware.

Next time you are cleaning up and cleaning out your toolkit, don't go nuts over all the excessive materials: use them for an art project!
