Coffee Filter Art

Going green means reusing what normally would end up in the garbage. Coffee filters are used in galore, but they can be reused to create some magnificent art.

After being used, clean the filters well by rinsing them with water. Open them, dry them and iron them flat. You can use the entire filter, or cut them in equal parts.

The difference in the color of each filter will create subtle shades in a project like the one on the left. I can imagine used coffee filters being used for all kinds of images because of those nuances.

Entire bouquets can be made out of used or unused filters. White, unused filters can be given any desired color by using markers and going over it with a paint brush dipped in water. Even water color paint will do; it will give the coffee filters a pastel color.

I found many artistic and ingenious projects constructed out of either used or new coffee filters. So, next time you brew a pot of coffee, think about how you can reuse the filter. Maybe you can brew up a brainstorm which will end up in a wonderful piece of art!

Yes, I was amazed seeing what people can do with such a simple thing!

God's Grace.
