Lego Art

Our grandson and I enjoy playing together. We build houses and garages with Duplo and although this bigger version of Lego is not really suitable for building very large, sturdy structures, the concept is about the same.

While Duplo has its limitations, the possibilities and projects for the application of Lego are endless.

Life sized statues, entire mini cities and all kinds of other creations can be constructed without the fear of it coming apart easily.

Of course it does take some consideration on how to make it structurally and architecturally sound to achieve the desired effect; it's all in the planning.

Even though these skulls may not be very appealing to you, they do give a good impression of 3D wall art which can be made out of Lego. There is nothing holding you back from crafting a 2 dimensional image, framing it and hanging it on the wall.

I even came across some artfully crafted earrings which incorporated small pieces of Lego. You see, Lego art doesn't all have to be large and elaborate, it can be small and delicate as well; it is all in your hands!
