Candy Wrapper Art

This craft was not inspired by my sweet tooth, but by a prom dress which was entirely made out of one particular kind of candy wrappers and was featured in the media not too long ago.

That piqued my interest of course and I had to investigate a little more where candy wrapper arts and crafts were concerned. It just blew me away seeing what all was crafted with these seemingly useless, left over wrappers which normally end up in the garbage can.

Not only did I come across (prom) dresses, other apparel and matching shoes, but I also found purses, wall art, belts, jewelry, collages, and many more projects which were artfully crafted from the packaging materials that hold all that sweetness.

A very simple project is twisting, bending and turning the wrappers into these cute, small figurines.

By using just a few wrappers, you can already create and portray your entire family with your entire family and it doesn't require much time or energy to do so.

It wouldn't be wise to pig out on all those candies at once or all by yourself.

For more elaborate and larger projects save up the wrappers and ask your family and friends to keep them for you.

In case you lack the gumption to get started; just eat some candy.

The sugar rush will provide you with more energy then you can handle! Grin.

Audrey,
I know, but all in moderation huh? Besides, family and friends can help out here, so you don't have to eat it all by yourself. :-)

God's Grace.
