Leroy Neiman's Economical Impact Part 2

Leroy Neiman has also received many awards during his lifetime and rightfully so.

Not only due to his marvelous artwork, but also for being a member of the New York City Advisory Commission for Cultural Affairs since 1995 and making many donations to charitable organizations and funding many opportunities for aspiring artists. The LeRoy Neiman Student Lounge at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, which opened in spring 2012, is another admirable example of his generosity.

His achievements were awarded with:
- Lifetime Achievement Award, Muscular Dystrophy Association.
- Lifetime Achievement Award, Art of Golf Festival, Pinehurst, North Carolina.
- Award of Merit from the American Athletic Union.
- Gold Plate Award from the American Academy of Achievement.
- The Sport Artist of the Year award presented by ASAMA.
- Recipient of the Victor Award, Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Recipient of Ellis Island Medal of Honor.

Many of his art can be admired in the nine books he published. Over 150,000 prints were sold in 1995-1996 and exceeding the $400 million mark.

Considered to be the first major sports artist in the world, Leroy Neiman's art can sell for up to half a million dollars and can be found as part of the permanent collection of many renowned museums all over the world, galleries and online!
