Gourd Art

Wow, I suspected there would be some gorgeous creations made out of gourds, but I did not expect to find so many.

Apparently, lots of people have taken up decorating and sculpting gourds as a hobby and I can see why; they lend themselves very well for some beautiful, unique art.

Gourds can be painted, decorated, shaped, used for wood burning, cut out, and so much more. The applications are endless.

It would make growing your own gourds very appealing and since each one is naturally shaped, every gourd is one of a kind. That also presents the challenge of seeing the possibilities in their shells.

I don't think you would have any problems coming up with ideas. There are examples galore and you don't have to go out of your gourd to end up with a lovely result!
