Rice Crispy Art

Here is a snack almost every one seems to love; rice crispy treats.

Most of you, who are fervent cake bakers and enjoy creating all kinds of different forms and shapes of cakes, will already know that rice crispy snacks are excellent ingredients which can be molded and cut in to practically anything.

Once you have the desired shape, it can be covered or adorned with a thin layer of fondant in any color.

Accessorizing with fondant items opens up a realm of possibilities and allows you to make the cake or figurine as elaborate as you please.

Of course you don't need to possess any sculpting abilities in order to turn a simple rice crispy treat in to a work of art.
A cookie cutter comes in all kinds of different shapes and can do most of the work for you.

Another option is as you can see in the picture; hot chocolate drizzled in a shape or word onto the treat results in a cute and one of a kind snack.

I have no doubt that this is a hobby children would love to do on a rainy, or cold day; making their own art and eating it too!
