Q-tip Arts And Crafts

With the kids back to school we may have some time on our hands and finally get around to doing some of our arts and crafts. You may not be aware of it, but Halloween is not too far away anymore.

Now would be a good time to take stock of the decorations. Some may have survived last year. Others may need replacing, but how about making a few new ones?

This one doesn't require much: black construction paper, glue, a pair of scissors and a bunch of ordinary Q-tips. All that is left is cutting the cotton swabs into the desired length and gluing them onto the paper.

You sure don't have to feel restricted to Halloween decorations. These Q-tips make wonderful flowers as well.

Styrofoam balls come in different diameters which dictate the size of the flowers.

You will also need a long and sturdy (wooden) rod for a stem and some paint.

I was thinking of cutting metal cloth hangers into rods; that is cheap and simple.

There are several more arts and crafts where Q-tips are concerned and I will share those with you soon. In the mean time, ponder upon all the possibilities.

You may come up with some ingenious tips!
