Edible Children's Art
I came across this while doing an Internet search and I thought this was way too cool to pass up.
This hobby is something any child would love doing; to be creative and snacking at the same time and this 'material' serves both purposes.
Edible play dough can be made by using the following ingredients:
- 1 cup smooth almond butter (a different nut butter will do fine as well)
- 2 to 3 tablespoons honey or agave
- powdered milk
Stir the (almond) butter and honey in a bowl and add the powdered milk, no more then a 1/4 cup at the time. Mix and/or knead it all together.
When the mixture is no longer sticky and has the consistency of play dough, it is ready for use. You can create different colors play dough by adding some drops of a natural food coloring.
The children will have a blast kneading and eating!
