Creative With Arbors

I got some plants and a Golden Rain tree from one of my family members and I am contemplating on where to plant them. Since the tree is toxic, I don't want our grandchildren being around it.

It will find a spot somewhere in the front yard, probably next to, or in between the two huge planters we have. I would love having an arbor in the middle of those planters; it would give it so much more curb appeal.

When thinking about arbors I usually picture the arched ones, but there are so many more different shapes available. I can see a square arbor having a major impact on the appearance of our backyard.

Even material wise the choice has broadened; where there used to be only wooden arbors, nowadays one can choose between wood, vinyl or metal. That is great because in our climate wood rots too quickly and vinyl is an excellent alternative.

It may take a while, but eventually we will get around to doing some landscaping and garden arbors will definitely be incorporated. They may provide an entrance to a small, secluded, peaceful and artistic area of our yard. :-)
