Hula Hoop Art

Whirling a hula hoop around is not only fun to do, it is also said to be a good exercise for loosing weight and toning your waistline. It always led to frustration on my part. I was never able to get it under control and master it.

Well, the shoe is on the other foot this time. I came across some really neat hula hoop craft projects which don't require the skill to keep it going round in circles for as long as possible. We use the circle to create art.

Yes, there are arts and crafts made by using a hula hoop. It is great for weaving perfectly round rugs for instance. The concept is rather simple and it is easy to do.

Attach several strings from one end to the other all around the hoop. Start your weaving in the middle and work your way outward.

Once you are done, cut the strings, tie them together and cut them to the desired length.

In case weaving is not your forte or doesn't appeal to you, how about this project?

With Halloween being not that far away, you still have plenty of time to fabricate several of these creepy crawlers.

These are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to hula hoop art and craft ideas.

I am rounding up many more projects for you, so stay tuned!
