Dog Tag Art

Dogs are man's best friends and since pets are usually also considered to be part of the family, they would make great ambassadors for showing off some examples of beautiful, but intricate artwork; dog tags.

You certainly don't have to content with a common dog tag anymore; it can be shaped and embellished any way you want or like and it many cases it doesn't require a lot of work. Cutting a tag in a different shape will already let your pet stand out from the crowd, so to speak.

You can take it a step further of course by painting an image on it, using enamel and baking it on the tag, or make inlays with jewels and/or gemstones. This might take a little practice, but the results are worth it.

There is also the option of creating much larger objects with a lot of dog tags, like this kimono for instance. Personally, I would be thinking more in the realm of smaller projects, such as using them for or on picture frames, sewing them onto fabric and making a purse out of it etc.

I found some more cute ideas and I would suggest you tag along!
