Jeans Art
Open a closet, any closet, and beyond a shadow of a doubt you will find garments in there which are made from jeans materials; pants, skirts, dresses, jackets, shorts, and so much more.
Jeans are not only comfortable to wear, but are strong too and go with any style, color and design. No wonder it is such a popular material, but that also equates in a pile of old, worn out or no longer fitting apparel.
Those remnants are quickly and easily converted in to something else. Among the options are slippers, purses, quilts, lamp shades, pillows, stuffed animals, book covers, flowers and even flags and maps.
You certainly don't have to wait until your jeans are old and no longer wearable. New jeans can be altered by bleaching or painting images on them, sewing on patches of other materials or using fabric paint to spruce them up and any seamstress can turn a pair of old jeans in to a smaller pair for the kids.
Jeans are great for recycling. Try it; it can even help shaking the blues by going green!
