Back To School Crafts: Crayon Wreath
In our neck of the woods there are only 9 days of summer vacation left and then it is back to school. To avoid the crowds and ensure we had all the school supplies needed, I got the shopping done early. All we have to do now is ease back into a routine.
Our grandson is looking forward to attending school again, but that may not be the case everywhere else. There are some things you can do to make the return pleasurable and exciting; arts and crafts geared towards education.
I love wreaths and am always baffled by all the ideas people come up with. How about surprising the teacher with this wreath? You got to admit it is very colorful, in every meaning of the word.
It is pretty simple to make and the children will love presenting their teacher with it. You will need 3 boxes of 24 crayons, two different sizes of wooden cross stitch rings, some strong craft glue, and ribbon.
You start out by putting drops of glue on the smallest ring and placing the crayons close together on it. Let it dry well and repeat the process by placing drops of glue on the crayons this time and adhering them to the outer ring.
Tie a ribbon around the wreath and you can even top it off with a bow and or card/picture if you please.
A gift like this will surely make the grade!
