Independence Day Crafts

The Fourth of July is almost here and we all like to celebrate Independence Day as much as we can. We usually show our patriotism by hoisting the flag and displaying all kinds of red, white, and blue colored items.

Those can be store-bought, but it is so much more fun creating them ourselves. I found plenty of projects which cost next to nothing to fabricate, look amazing and get the message across loud and clear.

I was particularly drawn to this wreath. Made from Styrofoam with little, flag tooth picks stuck into it, it is just beautiful and can be displayed anywhere.

The tooth picks can be bought in large quantities at the stores without breaking the bank. Around this time of year you will have no problems finding them.

After this holiday is over, you could even clear the wreath and give it another purpose. Simply save the tooth picks for next year and re-use them over and over again.

What is the Fourth of July without fireworks? I love watching fireworks, but am rather apprehensive when it comes to holding a match to them. Well, we don't have to do without.

With some scrapbook or construction paper, a pair of scissors and some glue, we can fabricate our own fireworks.

That is so cute and it is fun for the entire family. It is safe too, as long as you don't light it. But that goes for all fireworks!
