Rice Crispy Art - Materials and Equipment

You can either buy the rice crispy treats in the stores, or make them yourself by using the recipe in my previous post. It doesn't matter if the ones you buy are not the right size; they are rather sticky which makes it easy to come up with the size you need.

You can use cookie cutters to create quick, simple forms, or you can stack and knead them and cut them in to shape with a knife. Therefore, a knife would come in handy as well.

One thing is for sure; if you want instructions on how to work with rice crispy treats then you are out of luck. There are no books, workshops or any other kind of instructions which I found.

My advice would be to watch the old shows of Cake Boss that aired on TLC; they made several cakes using rice crispy treats and you can get an idea of what all you can do with it.

The best thing I like about these rice crispies is, in case you run out of inspiration then you can always eat them! Grin.
