Encouraging Art

There are so many items which we use on a daily basis without giving them a second thought, but if it hadn't been for the imagination, ideas and creativity of the inventor, we would be doing without many of those products which we take so easily for granted these days.

The best and most important examples are our communication devices. Where would we be without the determination and dedication of Samuel Morse and Alexander Graham Bell? It took the first one twelve years to come up with the telegraph system and the last one several years to invent the telephone.

How about Tim Berners-Lee or Vinton Cerf who are accredited with being at the roots of the Internet? If neither one of them had pursued their dreams and persisted on finding solutions to realize their ideas, the world would be a totally different place right now.

So, the next time you pick up your phone, connect to the World Wide Web, or plug in your innovated and advanced tactical headsets, remember all the work, time and thought that went into these devices. Let them be an encouragement to keep trying and not give up on your projects.

Practice makes perfect!
