Nuts and Bolts Art - Materials and Equipment

To create a piece of art all you got to do is dive in your toolbox. Nails, nuts, bolts, screws, washers, hooks and probably a lot of other things can be used to come up with a truly unique end product.

Since there is not much information to be found on this art form, it is rather difficult to tell you what other equipment you might need. I read for instance that some pieces were crafted by using a glue gun. Going by my own experiences with the glue gun, I don't think the glue would be strong enough to hold some of the larger and heavier nuts and bolts. It may work fine on the smaller hardware. You can give it at try though.

This wonderful art piece is held together due to welding, which in my humble opinion might be a better way for this form of arts and crafts. Soldering might be another option.

As far as classes, books and other materials go: I did not find any. That does not necessarily mean there aren't any. It just means they are sparse and hard to come by. With a long, intensive search and a lot of inquiries you may be able to find something with hints, tips and advice.

It may turn out to be a tough nut though.
