Kids and Crafts

In order to do so, we would need the following materials:
an old, small box with a lid, lots of seashells, a hot glue gun and plenty of hot glue sticks.
It is probably wise to sort and order the shells according to size and shape, before getting started. Smaller shells may function well as fillers, while larger ones can be used for the corners and/or as the focal point in the middle of the lid on top.
The best way to start is by gluing the ones in the middle on top and on the corners and fill in the empty spaces with the rest of the shells. The children will enjoy making their own treasure chest and in case you run out of shells; no problem. You have a nice activity to look forward to: a day at the beach, hunting for shells! :-)
