Garage Door Art III

My guess is that with the introduction of the car also came the garage; in those days cars often came without a top and the weather had free reign.

I don't think it took long before people came up with a place to park their cars high and dry, so to speak; it must not have been very comfortable, taking your place in the driver's seat after some rain or snow.

In case you were unaware of it; the invention of the upward-lifting garage came in 1921 and was the idea of the creative mind of C. G. Johnson. He didn't stop there; in 1926, he also invented the electric garage door opener.

I don't think Mr. Johnson was aware that with the uplifting garage door, he also provided us with a large, white canvas uplifting art to the next level!
