Tech Savvy?

I am not the most technologically savvy person in the world but I’m learning. My kids are really helping me out and my son in particular is sitting with me about once a month to get me more familiar with online bill pay and using the web to do some of my daily tasks. I have to say, it really does make things easier! I recently went online to look into cheaper utility companies in my area – I was chatting with my son about good comparison sites and he was telling me to Click Here and There and No Mom, Don’t Do That. He’s a real bossy one, that boy! But at the end of the day I had a better water and heat rate and that’s all that matters. The internet is saving me so much money on postage each month because I used to pay all my bills by mail – now I’m more tech savvy and I never have to worry about anything getting lost by the post office. My mother would be rolling over in her grave if she saw how much technology had changed things! I think this year I’m going to order almost all my holiday gifts online which will be a first for me – my son’s not going to know what hit him when he sees all the boxes coming right to his door! I’ve already got my eye on some hand-painted mugs from a dealer out in Denver and that’s fun since in the past I would have been stuck just shopping at all the stores here in town. The web has really opened up my life in so many ways and I can’t wait to see how else it makes my life easier. I think I’m going to ask for a Kindle for my gift this year but you know, stranger things have happened before and my kids are going to be so proud of me!
