Tile Art

By watching DIY shows, I have been keeping up with the latest trends concerning kitchen and bathroom renovations. I love the soft, 'watery' effect achieved by using glass Tiles either as a back splash in the kitchen, or as a wall covering in the bathroom.

It is not just the colors and the fact that they are glass tiles; there is a wide array of forms, shapes and sizes to choose from. Each of them has a completely different result; the larger Subway tiles give a more spacious effect, while the smaller tiles create a more detailed look. It is something to keep in mind when choosing tiles.

Don't worry if you have some unused tiles; I have seen several beautiful projects which were created from remnants of Tiles. The tiles were smashed in to pieces and used for mosaics on floors, tables and even for wall art.

You don't need many and you can always mix and match with other tiles. A few of them can already be enough to create a unique piece of art or pull everything together, like a one of a kind kitchen table top. Just use your imagination!
