Kirigami II

Kirigami lends itself extremely well for pop up cards for any occasion and is therefore excellent for creating many, one of a kind greeting cards.

That opens up many more possibilities; how about applying Kirigami to make 3D wall art, or embellish a gift with some beautiful objects? It even is great for cutting out Christmas decorations and hang them in front of the window, in the tree, or on the wall.

It may not cross your mind, but those strings of paper dolls we used to cut out are considered Kirigami as well.

The intricate and delicate works of art in this photo have way surpassed that simple stage, but they are great examples of what all can be done with a piece of paper, a pair of scissors or knives, and a lot of creativity and imagination.

It may not be simple to exceed the simple stage of Kirigami, but the results are simply beautiful!
