VISIT FLORIDA: 500 Years Of History, Activities, And Art

This post brought to you by VISIT FLORIDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Although Florida is right around the corner we don't go there that often. The memories of a gorgeous beach, clear water, and inviting shops however are very pleasant and stuck in my mind.

We just don't get around to it and we should. Florida has so much to offer such as beautiful beaches, all kinds of recreational water-sports, historic sites, world class spas, charming towns, amusement parks, and the list goes on and on.

Florida's history goes back exactly 500 years. Ponce de Leon was the first one to explore the Sunshine State in 1513. To celebrate the 500 year anniversary, VISIT FLORIDA is giving away a trip every week throughout the entire year.

Each week, a different adventure package including rental car, hotel accommodations, and exciting activities and things to do, are up for grabs.

To have a shot at winning the Florida's 500 Years of Adventure Sweepstakes, click the link, fill out the form, and hit the enter button.

I would love to win the Key West Escape which is the Adventure Package that will be given away during the week of June 17th to 23rd.

The beach, eclectic shops in the historic old town Key West and Sunset Cruise with Fury Water Adventures are appealing, but I would be most excited about visiting the many art galleries and enjoying the sight-seeing tour on the Old Town Trolley.

You can easily keep up with and find out what the latest Florida adventure is by following @VISITFLORIDA on Twitter. You can of course 'follow' all you want, but that doesn't get you anywhere; entering the Florida's 500 Years of Adventure Sweepstakes will.

I recommend you do so. You could be the next winner of one of those VISIT FLORIDA giveaways. If that is the case, you will quickly come to the conclusion that Florida has got lots more to offer then just sunshine!
