Packing Tape Artist
Even though I have already made several posts about the variety of art packing tape can be used for, I still come across artists who blow me away with their skills and creativity.
Take the Dutch artist Max Zorn for instance. He uses packing tape to create amazing pictures of every day subjects. He pastes and cuts the material where he sees fit and beauty unfolds before your eyes.
Take a look and be amazed.
After posting a home-made video on the Internet, the works of art he had already created caught the eye of the world. As a result, Max Zorn's work was displayed and could be admired at an exhibition in Singapore which was held not too long ago.
He started out in 2011 by displaying his work on the street lamps in Amsterdam. The light behind the tape showed off his work at night and, according to the artist: "I didn't want to work on walls or on the floor I wanted to use street lamps as an urban gallery and I wanted to use the darkness as the setting around my artwork."
This artist shows once again how ordinary materials can be applied to create extraordinary artwork!
