Values.
Nowadays appearances seem so important, especially when it comes down to social and financial status.
Lots of people pretend to be someone else in order to be accepted. A consequence could be lonelyness. Feeling lonely because no one accepts you for who you really are. They can't, they don't know you, your flaws, mistakes, true thoughts and feelings. Wouldn't it be better to have one good friend who cares for you and about you and is always there for you, instead of being accepted by a crowd, turning away as soon as things get even a little rough?
How about material things? Yeah, we all like to have nice stuff, but should that equate in debt, just so someone can keep up with their friends or neighbors for instance?
It's all where we put our value. It won't hurt to re-evaluate them from time to time. Actually, it may even take away hurt!
