Nylon Art II

Most of the times it is flower decorations which are made with nylon and wire, but every now and then you can come across some other magnificent sculptures like this dragon fly for instance.

There are many more creations possible, which are very easy to make.

For this little Lady bug, all you need to do is bend two separate wires in an eclipse, pull the nylon over them and fasten at the end with some thread.

Make a little ball out of the same red nylon that functions as the body and place the wings on top of it. Wrap black nylon around it for a head and while doing so incorporate two small wires as little horns. When done, you can tuck the end in or sew it. All done.

In case you like to make it more life like, you can paint dots on the wings. A black marker might do the trick as well.

This craft also lends itself very well as an activity for kids on a rainy day.
