Here is another application for the use of beads which I stumbled across online: create photo wall art with them. It may take some figuring out, but you can turn an ordinary photo in to a cool work of art by replacing the pixels by beads. In order to do so, you will need small beads, but the outcome is spectacular.

For the same token you can use beads on cross stitch patterns and replace the color of yarn by beads. It will make for a unique piece which is also hand washable!
You can also spruce up and/or personalize a simple towel by sowing beaded initials or small patterns on it. How about gluing beads on a vase or glass jar? By using colored, glass beads you can use the jar as a candle holder.
