Soap Bubble Art II
Did you know there are entertainers who have entire shows evolving around soap bubbles? It is true! One of the most famous artists is Sam Sam Bubbleman. He creates bubbles beyond your imagination and even manages to put a group of people in one gigantic soap bubble.
You can brew your own concoction for blowing bubbles: a solution consisting of equal parts water, corn syrup and dish detergent guarantees large bubbles. I also came across a solution in which sugar was used. I am not sure what the reason is, or what it does, but you can also leave it out and still get pretty decent sized bubbles.
Apparently, playing with soap bubbles dates back as far as the 17th century, when children blowing bubbles by using clay pipes were portrayed in paintings. The sale of bubble solution started in the 1940s and was a huge succes ever since.
Yeah, you could say it took a huge flight! :-)
