Bubbling Beauty
I am always amazed at the beauty of soap bubbles. They may seem so simple, but when you get an opportunity then take the time to watch one closely from beginning to end.
Our grandson loves blowing bubbles and we usually do that early in the morning when it is still cool enough outside for him to play. We watch as they dance in the air and are carried away by the breeze. Sometimes there is no breeze at all and they pop as soon as they hit the ground.
It does happen that they slowly descent and settle down in the grass. That's when the magic starts: blue, green and purple swirl around and gradually turn in to yellow, red, bright pink and orange. Small speckles appear as the bubble gets thinner and eventually bursts in to gazillion, teeny tiny soap drops.
Who would have suspected that a simple soap bubble would be such a wondrous work of art?!
