Alphabet Art
I have been trying to teach our almost four year old grandson the Alphabet and even though it is slow going, he is starting to recognize several letters.
At his own request, we have been writing down his own and his siblings' names several times and even though it takes him a little while, he can tell which is whose.
It would also be a cute idea hanging some framed letters on the wall, spelling out their names. The colorful composition attracts their attention and prods them to learn quick and easy.
Aside from learning the Alphabet, it can be an introduction to art as well. The images have a huge appeal to the children's creativity and could bring out the still hidden, little artist in them.
Yes, there is an artistic side to all of us and the sooner we give free reign to it, the better!
