Scrimshaw Art - Materials and Equipment

As I already mentioned in my previous post on Scrimshaw art, modern tools are used these days for this hobby and some of them are tools which are used in dentistry.

Of course you can always resort to large needles and/or even knives, but there are toolkits available which are specifically for this hobby.

Those toolkits are easily found and purchased online.

The Internet also offers an enormous amount of patterns, supplies, online instructions, workshops, and books on scrimshaw.

It is a wonderful hobby and you don't have to work your fingers to the bone in order to come up with a beautiful piece of art! :-)
