Easter Egg Decorating II

Decorating eggs has been around for centuries; as a matter of fact, it dates back to the 500 BC and was practiced by the people of Persia to celebrate their New Year, which was held in the spring season.

The egg was chosen because it is a symbol for new life, which is very appropriate to represent the resurrection.

The eggs were originally dyed in a solid red color to represent the blood of Christ.

Over the years, more colors were used and egg-decorating became more elaborate, resulting in the art as we know it at present.

It sure is fun to do, but it is even more fun to see the smiling faces and gleaming eyes of our little ones when they go on an Easter egg hunt and find one!

What clever and intricate decorations. You must have spent weeks doings this craft.
I make eggs red by wrapping them in onion leaves and cooking them. Finito.
I'd prefer to be as clever as you are.

Felisol,
Thanks for dropping in and leaving a comment; I really appreciate it.

No, I haven't done all this creativity. I found it on the net when doing research for this craft. Some people really spend a lot of time on it and as you can see the results are gorgeous.

I admire your patience and decorating them yourself. Thanks for the tip.

I don't have the time for it and simply buy them if need be, haha.

God's Grace.
