Creative Solutions
This post brought to you by NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.
When you have limited mobility, a hobby or craft is often what gets you through the day. The likelihood you run out of something you need to practice your art or finish your project is great and you totally depend on others to get you what you need.
You can get back on the road of independence by going to the NMEDA site; enter your ZIP code and find a qualified dealer who can help you in obtaining a vehicle modified to your needs in your vicinity. There were several in our area and I like to know where your closest dealer is. Please, share by leaving a comment on this post. Thanks.
NMEDA, a non-profit trade association promoting safe driving and equipment for the disabled, has both dealers and Quality Assurance Program (QAP) dealers. Dealers adhere to the safety standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and sell handicap vans and vehicle modifications for disabled people.
QAP dealers are companies which must have a systematic and documented approach to quality and must adhere to the only nationally recognized accreditation Quality Assurance Program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry.
Buying from a NMEDA qualified dealer assures a personalized “in-person” evaluation, the correct and customized vehicle for your needs and lifestyle, and additional training or product refinements if or when the need arises.
Even when you experience a lack of mobility that doesn't mean your life has to come to a screeching halt; a NMEDA dealer has very creative solutions to solve that problem!
