Participating In The Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival

It may be a little too late to participate in the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival for this year, but there is always next year.

Many artists will apply for a booth in either the Juried Art Show or the Heritage Arts Area, but not everyone may be selected. The jury is rather critical and tries to keep the festival as non-commercial as possible.

In order to apply, you will need to submit three photos of your work and another one of your display area along with your application. The qualified members of the jury will select 200 participants based solely on the photos presented to them.

The chosen artists will not only be able to showcase their art, but will also be in the race for a total of $25,000 in cash prizes in almost each category. Those cash prizes will go to Best of Show, Awards of Distinction, Awards of Excellence, Awards of Honor, and Awards of Merit, but winners from last year will be excluded.

In case you don't want to participate, but still would like to win a prize then you can enter the Poster Contest Call. No matter your age, you can submit a creative design for next year's festival's poster and be awarded with $1,000 when your design is the winner.

Artists outside the U.S. could be featured at the Great Gulfcoast Festival as the International Invited Artist. Each year, a different international artist will be put in the spotlight at the festival with a booth of their own.

Nope, there is not one boring moment at the festival. Neither for the artists, nor for the visitors!
