A Visit To The Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival

For art-lovers, crafters, hobbyists, and artists, the annual Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival is a great way to enjoy artwork from others and offers others the opportunity to enjoy your craftsmanship.

This three day festival has been held every year since 1973 in downtown Pensacola, Florida. It is one of the most popular and visited juried arts festivals in the nation, with over 200 participants.

You will be able to admire the creativity of painters, potters, sculptors, jewelers, graphic artists, craftsmen and other artists, displaying their work to the public and contending for the $25,000 cash prizes which are being awarded.

Visitors of the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival will not experience one dull moment. Besides all the booths showing off the talents of many, live music from bluegrass to jazz and classic is performed on the Main stage.

Local dance schools, folk groups, and many more will provide you with amazing, entertaining performances on the Parrish Performing Arts Stage and if blacksmithing, engraving, spinning, weaving and other traditional arts and crafts appeal more to you then you can find those to your heart's content in the Heritage Arts Area.

The festival takes place on November 2, 3 and 4 at the Seville Square in Pensacola and is open from 9 to 5 on Friday and Saturday and from 9 to 4 Sunday. Admission is totally free and if you think that is all there is then you are sadly mistaken; more will follow soon!
