Coin Art II

At times, an occasion comes up which requires a gift. Many of us would resort to a financial present for lack of knowing the person's wants, desires or needs.

Framing it, like in this picture is a very unique and simple solution to an otherwise relatively boring gift and it also prompts more ideas; use coins to cover a box, a picture frame, coasters, etc.

Another very creative idea is cutting out images in or out of the coins. In this example the image is cut in the coin, but often the images already struck on the coins are cut out and used to embellish items, or function as a pendant for necklaces and earrings.

That is another option: coins are often used for jewelry. That is rather easy, because all you would have to do is drill a small hole in the coin, put a bracket through it and you are good to go.

I have no doubt your imagination and creativity will come up with a lot more artistic ideas where it concerns works of art with coins, then the two cents I put in!
