Coin Art - Materials and Equipment
Because this hobby is rather versatile, it is difficult to tell you what kind of other materials and equipment you would need besides coins.
My recommendation would be to keep the hot glue and a glue gun within reach if you decide to attach the coins to a picture frame, box, and whatever else you may have in mind.
The coins can be any currency and the condition is only of importance when you want to use them for jewelry making. In that case you will need a drill and if you want to cut an image in, or out of the coins, then a drill and a scroll saw are in order.
I was glad to find some step by step instruction on the Internet on this craft; most of them pertaining to cutting coins.
I couldn't find any instruction books on it and even workshops are far and few in between.
My guess is that it is pretty much left up to your own imagination what art project you come up with and how to best realize it. What do you think?
A penny for your thoughts! Grin.
