Autumn de Forest's Work

It all started in her father's garage; after she got hold of a paintbrush, she astonished her Dad with a colorful work of art. This prodded the parents to give her oil paints and canvases which the, at that time, 4-year old turned in to true masterpieces.

It must be an awesome sight observing this little artist while she is working. Autumn's paintings are mostly larger then herself; 4' x 6'. Since they are larger then Autumn, she lays them on the ground and moves around the canvas to create her paintings.

To get to the center of the paintings, constructions, which span both width and length of the canvas, have been constructed. These 'bridges' allow Autumn to reach the middle of her artwork without any effort.

As far as her art goes, it is mostly categorizes as being Abstract Expressionism, but it is difficult to put a label on artwork which 'comes from the heart', as the little artist proclaims.

You can see the inspiration and influence of Andy Warhol when looking at this work called Barbie Marilyn, but he is just one of the many others who inspire the little girl.

I don't think it matters much who influences and/or prompts her to express her artistic abilities onto the blank canvas; her colorful paintings are as unique, gorgeous and just as lively as the little artist who created them!
