Permanent Display of 3-D Art

I love this 3-D chalk art and have great admiration for the artists and their work.

Unfortunately, there is often very little time to admire it; just the least little bit of rain will already ruin it and soon wash away every trace of the efforts and craftsmanship of these masters.

I was very pleased to read that there is a semi-permanent display of a 3-D chalk artwork in Tusayan, Arizona, just outside the Grand Canyon. You can find it at the National Geographic Visitor Center located near the park's South Rim entrance.

It is the 1st semi-permanent display in North America and the masterpiece is created by chalk artist, Kurt Wenner and it will be on display through the end of October, 2012.

That still gives you plenty of time to go and see it and have pictures taken where you are balancing on peaks at frightening heights. Grin.
