Creative Uses For Towel Bars

Many cheap and unique ideas for making a rack to hang your towels from can be found on the World Wide Web, but it doesn't have to stop there. The towel rack and the bar in particular, can be used for much more than holding the material for which it was initially invented.

By using shower hooks you open up a door for all kinds of items to hang or display.

It turns out to be functional for kitchen utensils, but it also is a great option for hanging and storing purses, neck ties, necklaces, and whatever else you can think of.

There are ideas and options galore as to what you can use it for, but as far as creating your own towel rack/bar goes; the sky is the limit.

It is quite simple to fabricate a towel bar from a broom stick, left over plumbing pipe, or even a piece of board. There are all kinds of mounting systems in the DIY stores which will fit the bill, or you can come up with your own ingenious system.

It is usually a matter of working with what you have and thinking outside the box. It is not hard to end up with a color that matches the rest of the interior. Paints for all the different materials are readily available, or......

You can think outside the box!
