Seat Belt Art - Materials and Equipment
If you like to do something with seat belts and have a good idea of what the project would be, you could go to a junk yard and get some cheap material for your art.
Another option is to order the material online; there is such a wide selection in colors available, it will blow your mind. It can be ordered by the yard and the price is very reasonable as well; I saw it go for $7.25 per yard, but you may find it even cheaper.
You may be able to find some instruction online as well concerning several different items made from seat belts, but no specific instruction books or workshops and the equipment you need entirely depends on the project.
I would suspect you will at least need a sharp pair of scissors or hobby knife and strong thread and sturdy needle. I would recommend using a needle for sewing denim or leather; they would definitely stand up to the job.
This craft is absolutely worth trying and you may regret it if you don't. Let's not take that chance; better safe then sorry! :-)
