My CD Art
Here is something you would find in my Nicknack Stand; CD art. These are just a couple of the many I have fabricated.
The first example is excellent for applying some left over ribbons. Use a wide ribbon and ruffle it to the desired size. Glue it on the back of the CD before adhering the final material of your choice to finish the backside.
Cover the middle of the CD with either a complimentary or contrasting round piece of paper or fabric and glue bow in the middle of the circle. I used some cord to attach around the edge of the CD, giving it a more finished look.
The second project takes a little more time due to cutting out the images for the 3D effect, but the result is worth it. You can pull images of the Internet and print out as many as you need. You can also make it as elaborate as you want, although my experience is that usually less is more.
There are a lot of items you can use for projects like this. So, save your old CDs and DVDs; they are up to scratch for this craft!
