Baby Hat Art - Materials and Equipment

This is pretty much a no-brainer as far as materials and equipment goes; yarn can be found in all kinds of colors and in many stores and you will need either crochet, knitting needles, or a sewing machine.

It may be a little tricky finding the right size of needles for knitting or crocheting, depending on how thick your yarn is, but any self respecting craft and/or hobby store should carry them. If you can't find what you need, look online.

Ideas, patterns, examples and instructions are galore online as well and will keep you busy for a long time to come.

Don't limit yourself to those though; there are plenty of other materials which can be used to adorn even the simplest baby hat.

Think about using beads, ribbons, felt, or needle point for example, as an application or for crafting some unique images on to the hat. For the seamstresses there is the option to sew emblems or other applications onto it to make it their own.

If your project doesn't come out as well as you had hoped, don't throw the baby out with the bath water; try it again. Practice makes perfect!
