Home Made Christmas Decorations Part 5
A centerpiece makes every table setting complete and, even when the table is not set, will bring a room to life.
I love those beautiful green and red Poinsettias, but for some reason unknown to me, I can't seem to keep them healthy and growing. They usually start to wither within a week and it doesn't take long before they end up in the trashcan.
That is why I resorted to everlasting Poinsettias; yes, the silk ones. I took a large piece of Styrofoam, stuck the Poinsettias in first and worked around those with; you guessed it, everlasting evergreen.
To give the centerpiece some pizzazz, I also embellished it with some other seasonal decorations like drums, horns and gifts. Those can easily be bought in craft stores and don't cost much.
Once the Christmas season is over, I carefully wrap it in a plastic garbage bag and store it, where it will be ready and patiently waiting till next year!
