Homemade Christmas Decorations

I made several Christmas decorations last year and I don't think I posted them on my blog. Therefore, I am correcting that situation by doing so now.

This is one of the hangers I fabricated and it is made from thin, ready-made wooden shapes, which were actually intended for painting. I covered them with glue, wrapped them on both sides in gold tissue paper and glued on some sparkling stars.

I found some left over shower curtain rings and wrapped a gold and white glittery ribbon around them, topped it off with a red bow, drilled holes in the wooden figures and strung and sewed it all together.

By attaching a loop on the upper ring, it is easy to hang either from a nail on the wall or from a lamp and since it looks the same on both sides, it can swing, twist and turn anyway it wants, without loosing any of its splendor.

It actually makes it even more interesting!
