Home Made Christmas Decorations Part 4
I made two of these wall decorations and you will laugh when you find out what they are made from; the lids of a wicker basket.
We had bought a wicker basket at one point, but it had lids on both sides of the handle and since that turned out to be rather inconvenient, I took them off. Somehow, somewhere, I knew those lids would come in handy. I saved them until a few years ago when I suddenly got the idea to convert them into Christmas decorations.
I used some small Christmas balls and attached a ribbon to them. Making good use of the glue gun, I glued them in the middle of the lid and glued a bow on top of it, concealing the glue and cut off ribbon.
All of that was quickly done, but the trickiest part was to find the exact center on top of the lid to put the string through, so where it would hang without tilting to one side.
You can also utilize photo frames of which the glass is broken. With so many Christmas decorations to choose from, you will have no problem coming up with some wonderful projects!
